CRS medical visits HSG Wetzlar
As a long-standing partner of HSG Wetzlar, CRS medical visited the handball club's home game against the visitors from Leipzig on November 10 with a total of over 50 employees. One of the special reasons for this visit was the Wetzlar handball team's anniversary season. Coach Ben Matschke's team has been in the top league of German handball for 25 years.
CRS medical has been a partner of HSG Wetzlar for over 15 years and is passionate about supporting the club and its players. The promotion of performance-oriented sport has been a top priority at CRS medical since the company was founded, which is why the RSV Lahn-Dill and the Wetzlar sprint team are also supported. Promoting the Central Hesse region not only economically but also in terms of sport has been firmly anchored in the company's values since its early days.
Over 2500 HSG Wetzlar fans, including more than 50 CRS medical employees, watched the game against SC DHfK Leipzig on the 11th matchday of the season in the Buderus Arena. This was to be an important game for both teams, as the points haul from the previous ten games had been unsatisfactory for both teams. A palpable tension on both sides could not dampen the mood in the arena. All the fans started the game motivated with the team.
Equipped with fan clappers, cool drinks and food, the CRS medical employees set off. Both HSG Wetzlar and SC DHfK Leipzig played a match of equals. Both teams made many technical mistakes and were unfocused when finishing goals. While HSG Wetzlar went into the half-time break with a narrow 14:12 lead, Leipzig started to catch up in the second half. Every goal scored by HSG Wetzlar was followed by a goal conceded by the opponents, who took the lead in the 58th minute. HSG player Jovica Nikolic caused heart palpitations in the final minute of the game and equalized. Leipzig used the remaining seconds to retake the lead. HSG Wetzlar's finish at the final whistle was too poorly placed, meaning the game ended 24:25 in favor of SC DHfK Leipzig.
Despite high tension during the game and a defeat, the CRS medical team was nevertheless euphoric and is keeping its fingers crossed for HSG Wetzlar for the next games.
