CRS medical visits Hannover 96 home game
Last Friday, CRS medical was on site at Hannover 96's home game against 1. FC Heidenheim to draw attention to the topic of cardiac safety. With two small stands in the business area of the Heinz von Heiden Arena, visitors were able to find out all about public safety and practice on resuscitation mannequins with an AED what behavior they should show in an emergency and how the AED supports the first aider.
The atmosphere during the match in the arena was good and around 25,200 spectators came to watch the game between the two clubs. Even though Hannover 96 unfortunately did not win the game and ended up losing to 1. FC Heidenheim with a final score of 0:3, the CRS medical team had a successful day on site and was able to familiarize many visitors with the topic of cardiac safety. However, cardiac arrest can not only occur in a sporting environment. Every year, over 100,000 patients die from sudden cardiac death. 80% of cardiac arrests occur outside of hospital.
For this reason, CRS medical wants to draw attention to the need for cardiac safety. At the promotional stand in the business area, visitors were able to find out about various public safety options. In addition to information on how an AED and a LifePad work, they were also able to find out more about the ErstHelden app. During the event, they had the opportunity to perform resuscitation themselves using resuscitation manikins.
In order to take a comprehensive approach to first aid, CRS medical has been working over the past year on the development of an emergency backpack that is specifically designed for sports clubs. The CRS ResQ was designed together with various sports physiotherapists to meet the requirements of a wide range of sports emergency situations. With its clever pocket concept, the CRS ResQ offers space to store the necessary wound care material and to place a life-saving defibrillator in the front compartment. The integrated viewing window provides a clear view of the AED display. The rucksack is optimally protected from moisture and dirt thanks to its robust, abrasion-resistant and water-repellent Cordura® material.
Thorsten Klopp receives the emergency backpack after the match
As the club has already been equipped with an AED by CRS medical, a suitable emergency backpack is a must. Shortly after the game, CRS medical employee Kenneth Höhn handed over the CRS ResQ to Thorsten Klopp, physiotherapist for the Hannover 96 professional soccer team. The interchangeable and customizable Velcro patches perfectly represent the Hannover 96 professional department at first glance and the backpack fits in well with the club's overall image. With the emergency backpack and the AED, the club has first aid immediately to hand for future emergency situations.
