CRS medical launches the ‘ErstHelden-Helfen’ fundraising platform for sports clubs
CRS medical announces the official launch of the new fundraising platform ‘ErstHelden-Helfen’, under its ErstHelden brand. The initiative was launched in collaboration with AED360-ProCardio and Philips and has a clear goal: making it much easier for clubs to get access to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) – regardless of their budget.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone – regardless of age or fitness level. In places where large numbers of people gather, such as sports grounds, gyms or clubhouses, an AED can make all the difference in an emergency. However, financial barriers have so far prevented many clubs from purchasing one.
With ‘ErstHelden-Helfen’, CRS medical now offers a simple and effective solution: clubs can set up their own fundraising campaign in just a few clicks and actively involve their community in the funding process. Members, fans, friends, local businesses and sponsors can thus work together to contribute towards the purchase of an AED – often, many small donations are enough to reach the target.
“We asked ourselves how we could make it easier for clubs to get access to an AED, as their limited budgets often prevent them from purchasing one. With our fundraising platform, we’re giving them a tool that allows them to raise the necessary funds independently and easily. Every sports ground should be equipped with a defibrillator – this should not be a question of budget,” explains Kenneth Höhn of CRS medical.
One example of a suitable device is the Philips HeartStart FRx AED, which, with its exceptional robustness, the FRx is specifically recommended for more demanding and outdoor environments, so it is ideally suited for outdoor use. With clear, step-by-step voice prompts, it reliably guides even those with no medical training through life-saving procedures – from placing the electrodes to performing heart-lung resuscitation.
Besides just being a donation platform, the site offers additional support: organisations receive practical advice on how to run a successful campaign, can download information materials such as leaflets and posters, and can find out all about the importance of AEDs.
At the start, ‘ErstHelden-Helfen’ will first be communicated to Bavarian football clubs in partnership with the Bavarian Football Association (BFV). In the long term, the plan is to expand this collaboration to include clubs across all sports.
With this platform, CRS medical aims to significantly increase the availability of defibrillators across the whole country in both amateur and club sports.
Interested clubs can now register at www.erstheldenhelfen.de and start their own fundraising campaign.
