Our journey to date

CRS medical GmbH was founded in 2004 by Dr. Michael Schlapp, Alexander Vila Wagner and Heike Jonzeck with the aim of offering customer-specific after-sales services and solutions to global manufacturers of medical devices. The company started its business activities in a detached house in Asslar, providing support for two customers. After a short time, the company developed further business areas, expanded and moved into a new company building. From an idea, the company grew to become an international, medium-sized medical technology company with currently over 210 employees.

2004 - Company foundation

CRS medical is founded in the Ringstraße in Asslar Germany and starts the CRS Service division in a detached house.

2005 - Development of own products

As early as 2005, CRS medical began developing its own products, specializing in rescue services.

2008 - International sales

The company's own products (holders & bags) are in demand not only nationally, but also internationally in the rescue service.

2009 - Further business division

CRS medical has been active in the field of telematics since 2009.

2010 - Relocation to Loherstraße

The space in the previous building was simply no longer sufficient. The company moves to its current headquarters at Loherstrasse 6.

2011 - Acquisition of shares in avetana GmbH

CRS medical acquires 50% of the shares in the software company avetana GmbH, based in Karlsruhe, which operates specifically in the field of medical information logistics.

2017 - NeuroKard becomes a 100% subsidiary

NeuroKard is a 100% subsidiary of CRS medical, whose core competencies lie in sales and service in the fields of neurology and cardiology.

2017 - Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new company building

For reasons of space, a new two-storey building with a total area of 1150m2 is built on the company's own premises.

2017 - NeuroKard takes over the service & sales of accessories for hemodynamics from Schwarzer Cardiotek

As a result of the takeover, the Field Services area of operation now extends from northern to southern Germany and has been expanded to include Austria and Switzerland.

2018 - Completion of the new building

After an opening ceremony and final touches, the new building was ready for occupation by the end of February.

2020 - Merger of both companies to form CRS medical GmbH

Following the relocation of Neurokard GmbH, the next step is the merger of the two companies to form CRS medical GmbH.

2023 - CRS medical joins the ASKER Healthcare Group

With the merger of the Scandinavian group of companies, CRS medical is positioning itself for the future.

2024 - Acquisition of Hugo Technology Ltd.

The Asker Healthcare Group has acquired 100% of the shares in Hugo Technology as an add-on acquisition for CRS medical

Quality management

CRS medical has been certified in accordance with the medical device standard EN ISO 13485 since 2004. Our quality management team ensures process reliability and is continuously interested in improving quality. Our certified processes enable CRS medical to develop and manufacture its own medical devices and to provide services for customer devices. By complying with international standards, we ensure that CRS medical fulfills the high quality requirements for medical devices at all times and in a verifiable manner.
